Toy Boats joins the Resist Records family

Emerging from past Byron bands such as Word Up & The Dead Ends, local dude Hugo Costin-Neilsen AKA Toy Boats has emerged with a new acoustic project that has turned more than a few heads. In the space of a few months he has gone from only playing a handful of shows, to gaining the attention of Sydney based Resist Records.

“Finding an artist that furnishes the heart with something authentically euphonious is a rarity, however with the latest edition to the Resist Records family we have found just that. Echoing the warmth of his hometown Byron Bay, Hugo Costin-Neilsen, performing under the name of Toy Boats, delivers placid acoustic tracks that delight the spirit.

Byron Bay’s Word Up will embark on a national tour in support of their debut full-length release ‘Cabin Fever’. Mixed and mastered at Gateway Studios by Jay Maas, the band have found their feet with this latest effort while establishing themselves as a band to watch. Catch them on 9 dates across the country this February.
