Christmas Chaos 2010
Thy Art Is Murder will return to Byron in December to headline Christmas Chaos 2010 alongside In Hearts Wake, Sydney band Shinto Katana and locals Face Hate & Think Twice.
Since releasing their debut EP “Infinite Death” in 2008 Thy Art Is Murder have demanded attention throughout Australia and internationally. The 5-piece death metal band from western Sydney have destroyed all unwritten laws of the Australian heavy music scene whilst apologizing to no one.
They have since gone from strength to strength on the back of their debut album “The Adversary” which was released through Skull and Bones Records/STOMP. After a successful stint on The Mistake Tour earlier this year, and several sold out headline runs, the band will return to Byron for Christmas Chaos on December 16th.
Joining Thy Art Is Murder will be local kids In Hearts Wake, who have had an impressive year with several tours and a new release under their belt. Also on the bill are Sydney siders Shinto Katana who released their latest effort ‘We Can’t Be Saved’ through Dogfight Records earlier this year and are due to head out on tour with Emmure (USA) in January. Rounding out the line up will be local up and coming bands Face Hate and Think Twice.

Byron Bay Hardcore Halloween 2010
Now in it’s 5th year, the annual Byron Bay Hardcore Halloween event has continued to set the bar for hardcore and punk shows in the area. Displaying the most diverse line up the event has ever seen this looks to be the most exciting year yet.
Melbourne hardcore exports Carpathian will be headlining this years’ event. On the back of their recent release Wanderlust and a European summer tour, Carpathian will be heading north for the last time this year to play the show.
With a release in the works and some serious touring planned for the near future, locals Word Up! will return to the Halloween line up in 2010 to provide main support. Also on the bill are Brisbane heavyweights Against, who have just unleashed their latest effort Heathens and look to solidify themselves as one of Brisbane’s hardest working bands. Rounding out the line up are local metal force In Hearts Wake who will return from an extensive east coast run while
emerging hardcore band Think Twice will be opening the event.
