We are happy to announce the much anticipated Hardcore Halloween lineup, every year this event proves to be the most exciting thing happening on the calendar in terms of shows in the area. Each year we’ve watched as it has continually grown into something bigger and we know that this year is no exception as the line up returns to focus on local talent.

After receiving a lot of attention from the release of their debut album ‘Divination’, In Hearts Wake will return to headline Hardcore Halloween this year after numerous recent Australian tours. Direct support will come from one of the most promising local acts in years, Shackles. This band has outdone every expectation and continued to impress so be sure to check them out if you’re a fan of fast and agressive music. Survival are another band on the rise who quickly formed out of the remains of a couple of now defunct north coast bands. With only a demo to their name they have already enjoyed an opening spot on this year’s Hardcore 2012 event and have just been announced as the opening band for all shows on the upcoming Parkway Drive ‘Atlas’ Australian Tour. Two locals in Dead Hand and Juggernaut are also on the show, providing fans of the heavier side of things with something to be happy about. Gold Coast outfit Closure will also be performing alongside local upstarts Post Blue, with both bands providing an alternative style to keep things mixed up.

Byron dudemen Shackles have been overly busy lately, in between heading to Melbourne for shows earlier in the year the band have also released material through Arrest Records as well as being featured on the ‘Split Scene’ Australian Hardcore Compilation (Urbn Rage Records) which also featured bands like White Male Dumbinance, Ill Vision & a heap more. You’d think that would be enough but these lords just won’t quit, releasing a new EP last month, opening for Frenzal Rhomb and now preparing to arse-penetrate Perth with their purpski’s this weekend for the Negative Reinforcement CD launch shows.

On top of all that they just scored two support slots on Ceremony’s upcoming Australian tour, playing the Gold Coast and Brisbane respectively (although there’s nothing respective about these creeps). Check out some upcoming shows of theirs below.

In Hearts Wake will headline the BBHC Summer Jam this year, the show will mark their last performance on home soil before jetting off to the USA to record. Joining them will be local outfit Shackles who have been slowly making a name for themselves playing fast, energetic hardcore laced with aggression.
